great pleasure to invite you to attend the 4
th Annual Plenary Meeting
of the European HD Network (
EHDN 2007)
held in conjunction with the
2007 World Congress
on Huntington's Disease at the International Congress Center in
Dresden, Germany from Friday, September 7 to Saturday, September 8,
2007.
Online registration is required to attend EHDN 2007 (opened soon).
There is no conference fee. Travel and accommodation costs up to €
650 maximum will be reimbursed for legitimate participants (Reimbursement Policies).
Meals and refreshments are provided
during EHDN 2007 (i.e. on Friday and Saturday up to lunch) free of
charge.
Participants are invited to attend a
formal dinner on Friday night.
EHDN 2007 will be held as follows:
All
sessions of EHDN 2007 are open to scientists, clinicians and members of
the European Huntington´s Disease Association (EHA) and International
Huntington´s Disease Association (IHA) alike and participants will have
an opportunity to meet and exchange informally.
Reports on recent advances in HD (in both basic and
clinical sciences) were presented to the audience in the context of the
WCHD. Presentations intended for the entire audience (i.e. in a language
understood by scientists, clinicians and members of the lay organizations
alike) will be given Friday morning ('Hot topics') as well as Saturday
morning. More scientific presentations (in a more specialized language)
will be given Friday afternoon.
The programme of EHDN 2007 has four main sections:
- Plenary session: welcome and introduction, hot topics (Friday morning)
- Breakout session: working
group meetings (Friday up to 3.30 pm)
- Plenary session: presentations by the lead
facilitators of the working groups (Friday up to 5.30 pm)
- Plenary session: presentation of new projects, business meeting with outlook of 2008 (Saturday up to 2 pm)
The EHDN Central Coordination kindly request study sites to present a
poster about their team and research interests. A powerpoint template can be downloaded.
