Sightseeing Prague

Prague represents a unique complex of historical monuments, dominated by Prague Castle high above the city.
The historical heart of the city spreads out on both sides of the Vlatava river and consists of six parts, former independent boroughs, unified in the 18th century. These are Old Town (staré Město), Josefov (the preserved part of the former Jewish Town), New Town (Nové Město) Lesser Town (Malá Strana), Hradčany and Vyšehrad.
About 1500 precious historical objects are situated only here, many other monuments can be found outside this historical center.
More than 1000 years of architectural development are visible and modeled the city which hosts monuments of all art styles and movements: basilicas, rotundas, romanesque houses, gothic churches and monasteries, baroque monuments e.g. churches or palaces. Rococo, Classicism, the Empire style and Art Noveau (The Municipal House) are represented in the historical part of Prague.
The number of historical buildings that are renovated and open for public increased year by year.

This wonderful stixscape can be seen from many natural observations points or towers, that are open to the public.
