The University Medical Center Groningen is located on the east side of the city center, on the Hanzeplein. The hospital is easily accessible in several ways. You can come by bike or car and use the underground car park.

Public transport

You can easily reach the UMCG by public transport. Both city and intercity buses go from Central Station to the UMCG  in about ten minutes. The following buses stop at the main entrance of the hospital:
  • City buses 4 (Oosterpark) and 7 (Station North);
  • Intercity buses 40, 42, 65, 161, 163 en 165;
  • Q-liner 319.
