We hold a monthly clinic on a Wednesday and these are held at 3 locations in
rotation:
Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, Fife
Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline, Fife
Memorial Hospital, St Andrews, Fife Huntington's Disease Management ClinicAn out-patient service provided by a joint venture between Fife NHS and the Scottish Huntington's Association. Who is the clinic forIndividuals and families affected by or who are at risk of Huntington's Disease. The staff of the Fife HD Clinic are- Dr Gareth Thomas - Consultant Psychiatrist
- Dr Sue McKenzie - Clinical Psychologist
- Jillian Foster - Project Manager/ Huntington’s Specialist
- Nicola Johns - Huntington’s Specialist
- Jean Rothery - Admin/Resource Worker
Who can refer to the HD Management ClinicClients living within the Fife area can be referred to the clinic by their G.P., Huntington’s Specialist , Genetics service or other health care profession .

Multi-agency input may also be required. This may include occupational therapy, speech & language therapy, physiotherapy and/or dietetics. If you would like to meet with a Huntington’s Specialist please contact the Fife Service on: Tel: 01592 647993 Monday – Thursday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Friday 9 a.m. – 3.30 p.m. If you are phoning out of office hours please leave a message on the answer machine, leaving your name and telephone number and we will return your call as soon as possible. Our aims- To offer an individual assessment for those affected by Huntington’s Disease, including medical, psychological and social assessment.
- To work with clients and carers to establish individualised packages of care and treatment.
- To work collaboratively and closely with other professions.
- To ensure clients have access to all the services required.
- To increase understanding of Huntington's Disease by clients, carers & professionals.
- To continue and develop Fife as a study site for European HD research network
