Dr Chris Kipps Consultant Neurologist

Dr Chris Kipps MBBS (Hons), FRACP, PhD is the Principle Investigator for the Euro-HD study in Southampton. He is the Consultant Neurologist for Southampton University NHS Trust and also a general consultant neurologist at Winchester and Andover. His specialty is Neurology and has a sub-specialty of Cognitive disorders. He trained in general neurology in Sydney before working as a movement disorder fellow for a year. This was followed by a year as a clinical fellow in Oxford. He then did a PhD in Cambridge in Cognitive Disorders before moving to Southampton General Hospital in 2007.

Participants in the Euro-HD REGISTRY study are seen at the Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility (WTCRF) which is based in the Southampton Centre for Biomedical Research at Southampton General Hospital.

The WTCRF comprises a management team supported by research nurses, clinical research fellows research suport and administrative staff, a quality assurance manager and a small laboratory team.

The Multidisciplinary Research Team includes:
