Dr Chris Kipps MBBS (Hons), FRACP, PhD is the Principle Investigator for the Euro-HD study in Southampton. He is the Consultant Neurologist for the University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust and also a general consultant neurologist at Winchester and Andover. His specialty is Neurology and has a sub-specialty of Cognitive disorders. He trained in general neurology in Sydney before working as a movement disorder fellow for a year. This was followed by a year as a clinical fellow in Oxford. He then did a PhD in Cambridge in Cognitive Disorders before moving to Southampton General Hospital in 2007.

Participants in the Euro-HD REGISTRY study are seen at the National Institute of Health Research Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility, which is based at Southampton General Hospital. For some assessments it may be possible to be seen at home.

UHS run Huntington's disease clinics 6 times a year. Staff at UHS are working to improve the service for people with Huntington's disease and their family. They work closely with the Huntington Disease Association support staff for Hampshire and the Wessex Clinical Genetics Service. UHS also run research studies involving people with a younger onset dementia.
